Piano Appraisal Service:
Current Fair Market Value
The most accurate way to determine the value of a used piano is to have a piano technician - who has knowledge
of the piano sales market - perform a detailed onsite assessment of the piano's condition and appraise its value.

Used piano values are not determined by looking it up in a piano "blue book". Unlike used cars, used pianos are
not neatly categorized and valuated according to specific year, make, model and features.

Many factors affect a piano's value including: age, geographic location, the condition of the piano's cabinet,
structure and inner parts, and the eagerness of the potential buyer (or seller).

Any piano is ultimately worth what someone is willing to pay for it, but many people have no idea even where to
start when it comes to pricing their piano once they intend to sell it. On the other hand, potential buyers are not sure
whether or not a piano for sale is reasonably priced. Many piano owners haven't the slightest idea of whether or not
their piano is worth a great deal, or next to nothing.

We have addressed the demand for those who are simply interested in getting an experienced and well informed
piano appraisal without having to pay a piano technician $150 to $250 to thoroughly assess and appraise the
piano onsite.

What Is Included In the Appraisal?
- The fair market value of the piano in its present condition, based on current market conditions in North America.
- The replacement value of a similar new piano (we do this only if the manufacturer is still producing pianos today).
- The age of the piano and a brief background of the manufacturer, if possible.
