Hammer Voicing Tools
A hammer file, used to reshape the hammer felt and eliminate string grooves caused by wear.
A voicing tool, fitted with special needles. The needles are inserted into specific areas of the hammer felt, decreasing density and increasing flexibility in hammers that have too bright or too harsh a tone.
A hammer ironer, when heated, is used to pack down hammer felt, increasing density and producing a brighter tone.
A lacquer-based hardening agent, applied to hammers that require a brighter tone.
